A. COMING FROM ATHENS’ AIRPORT EL VENIZELOS
1. By taxi or by the public bus named “ΚΤΕΛ Ν. ΑΤΤΙΚΗΣ” (KTELN. ATTIKIS) towards to Rafina port. From there take the ferry to “Marmari”. Take from Marmari the public bus named “ΚΤΕΛ ΕΥΒΟΙΑΣ” (KTEL EVIAS) towards to Karystos. Very close to the end station of Karystos and at the central square there is a taxi station. Hire a taxi for the last part of your route towards to our hotel through the village of Aetos.
Useful information:
- The starting point of the public bus “ΚΤΕΛ Ν. ΑΤΤΙΚΗΣ” (KTEL Ν. ATTIKIS) is just opposite the entrance of Sofitel hotel at the Athens international airport El. Venizelos
- The duration up to Rafina port is approx. 30 min and the ticket costs 3,00 euro
- The duration from Rafina to Marmari port is 60 min (relevant tel. numbers are listed below)
- Usually there is a connection in Marmari with the local public bus named “ΚΤΕΛ ΕΥΒΟΙΑΣ” (KTEL EVIAS) going to Karystos but it is wise to communicate first with KTEL EVIAS (Karystos station 22240 26303)
- The duration of the route Marmari – Karystos is approx. 15 min.
Β. COMING FROM ATHENS’ CITY BY YOUR OWN CAR
1. Through Rafina’s port:
Drive towards to Rafina, take the ferry to Marmari (duration 60 min). Then drive towards to Karystos (distance 13 km, duration approx. 15 min). Continue driving south towards Bouros through the village of Aetos. Distance approx 4 km.
2. Through Agia Marina’s port:
Drive towards Agia Marina through the valley of Marathon (South-East Attica). Take the ferry to Nea Styra (duration 40 min). Then drive to Karystos (distance 33 km, duration apparox. 40 min). Continue through the town of Karystos driving to the south towards Bouros through the village of Aetos. Distance approx 4 km.
C. COMING FROM ATHENS’ CITY BY THE PUBLIC BUS NAMED “ΚΤΕΛ Ν. ΑΤΤΙΚΗΣ” (KTEL N. ATTIKIS)
1. Through Rafina port:
The starting point of the public bus “ΚΤΕΛ Ν. ΑΤΤΙΚΗΣ” (KTEL N. ATTIKIS) towards to Rafina is at “Mavromateon” street at the “Pedio Areos” park in Athens. Contact tel. Number 210 88 08 000.
Take the ferry from Rafina port towards to Marmari. Continue with the public bus named “KΤΕΛ ΕΥΒΟΙΑΣ” (KTEL EVIAS) towards to Karystos. Usually there is a connection in Marmari with the local public bus named “ΚΤΕΛ ΕΥΒΟΙΑΣ” (KTEL EVIAS) going to Karystos but it is wise to communicate first with KTEL EVIAS (Karystos station 22240 26303).

2. Through Agia Marina’s port:
The public bus named “ΚΤΕΛ Ν. ΑΤΤΙΚΗΣ” (KTEL ATTIKIS), which is at the Mavromateon street at the “Pedio Areos” park in Athens, services also the port of Agia Marina (contact tel. Number 210 88 08 000). Sailing duration from Agia Marina to Nea Styra approx. 40 min.
There is no bus station of “KΤΕΛ ΕΥΒΟΙΑΣ” (KTEL EVIAS) in Nea Styra, only passing buses and the best connection is either on 15:00 or 18:45, for this it is better to communicate with the nearest bus station (22240 26303 ή 22210 20400).
D. FROM NOTHERN AREAS THROUGH CHALKIS
Drive through Chalkis towards to Aliveri and Nea Styra continuing to Karystos. Distance up to Karystos 118 km, duration approx. 2 hours. Continue from Karystos driving south towards Bouros through the village of Aetos. Distance approx 4 km.
